There’s many a ways you can have tacos, but when it comes to home made, nothing brings me back to my childhood like good old-fashioned packet seasoned ground beef.

Don’t get me wrong I love my street tacos, but ground beef cooked with a packet of taco seasoning just feels so comforting when eating tacos at home.

Sure I had to create a second version of this that was dumbed down a bit with just meat and cheese. But this kid is sooo picky, just the look of a food can throw him off with too much going on!

Taco Night Sheet Pan Nachos

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 can black beans
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 avocadoes
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 3/4 lb shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large pan, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain and add packet of taco seasoning. Set aside. 
  • In a sheet pan arrange a layer of chips. Top with cheese, black beans and beef. Cook in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, until cheese is nice and melted.
  • While nachos are baking, dice tomatoes, chop cilantro and slice avocados. When nachos are done baking, top with tomatos, cilantro avocado, sour cream and salsa. Serve and enjoy!
