Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites
Your child just got home from school, wants a snack, or in our case woke up from a nap and is hungry. Frozen Chocolate Banana bites coated in some awesome toppings like granola, crunchy coconut or some m&m’s you say? Let’s do this!
I’m going to be totally honest, the last few weeks have been ridiculous! Brayden has gone to preschool, I started a new job, getting into a routine where I can juggle the blog has been tough, but I’m finally getting into the swing of things!
Especially with a quick and easy recipe to help ease back into everything. This only takes like 5 minutes to get going and after about an hour in the freezer they’re ready to rock!
I decided to try and make this SOMEWHAT healthy, by using dark chocolate which also has some added benefits like increasing blood flow to the brain (so that should make them do their homework faster right?!).The mini m&m topped ones are for me. Because I’m a big kid and get what I want!
I topped the chocolate banana bites with some of our favorite toppings as well, especially these crispy coconut strips which are super tasty, if you can find some of these I definitely recommend picking them up, I found some at Costco (which is like Disneyland #2 to Brayden).
What I love about simple and delicious snacks like these are they’re so easy to make, and they freeze super quick, in about an hour you can have nice and frozen chocolate banana bites waiting for your child when they get home from school.
Unless you have a high schooler. You’ll be up all night making enough to satisfy their appetite! You’re better off just handing them the raw ingredients and letting them devour it that way…

Ah, this gives me something to do with the bananas my kids won’t eat other than making banana bread. And congrats on the new job.
What a lovely, wholesome snack. Your Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites look delicious, and so much fun with the toppings as well.
Looks quite a healthy snack, using bananas and dark chocolate. Yum
Thanks Bintu!
What a great snack idea! I picked some up at trader joes once and the littles devoured them. I don’t know why I didn’t think about making them at home. Such a perfect thing for the kiddos to personalize with their favorite topper.
Yeah those were my thoughts exactly! I’ve seen similar things at the store, but they’re so easy to make at home plus you know exactly whats in them!
These are such a great idea! My oldest just started Kindergarten so I have been thinking about good snack ideas to give her and get her talking to me about her day!
LOL i have the same exact problem with our son! Every day when I come home I ask Brayden what he did at school and his response is “nothing” WHY IS IT LIKE PULLING TEETH TO GET OUT WHAT THEY DID?!
I used to eat these as a kid. I love them, and have never thought to make them for my boys. Thanks for the reminder!!
It’s super simple and everyone loves them!
